Shortly after your visit, you will receive a document from your insurance company called an Explanation of Benefits (EOB). It is important to remember: An EOB is not a bill. It is a summary showing how your insurance processed your claim. Additionally, all insurance plans are not the same and you may receive multiple bills from our billing company.

Your Benefits and Watching Out For You:
Under Texas law, your insurance provider is required to pay for your emergency care at the in-network benefit rate. You are never penalized for choosing the nearest emergency care.

Additionally, you don’t need to be a doctor to identify an emergency. If a reasonable person believes that their health is in serious jeopardy or they are experiencing severe pain, Texas law mandates that insurance must cover the visit.

Surepoint Emergency Center is an out-of-network provider for all health benefit plans.
